As part of its ongoing work to advance critical global South feminist analysis of global macroeconomic trends, DAWN convened a series of internal webinars on October 2, 9 and 16, 2024. These sessions brought together the authors of commissioned thematic discussion papers, members of DAWN’s Board, Executive Committee and project team, along with invited external experts.
The webinars created a space for collective reflection on the grip of finance, debt, planetary boundaries and taxation, and for identifying barriers and opportunities for feminist transformation. Drawing on grounded case studies and systemic critique, the discussions contributed to shaping a shared political horizon for future research, advocacy, and activism within and beyond DAWN.
A synthesis of the papers and discussions is available in the consolidated report, which outlines key issues under each thematic axis—from structural drivers of the current polycrisis to proposals for feminist alternatives.
