Insights and analysis of feminist economies from Abya Yala to the digital sphere

Flora Partenio joins global online gathering on feminist digital economies

Flora Partenio, DAWN Executive Committee member and feminist economist researcher, participated in the global online gathering held on 31 March 2025 in celebration of the 1st Feminist Economics Encounter of Abya Yala. The event brought together feminist scholars, activists, and researchers from Latin America and beyond to explore the intersections of digitalisation, economic justice, and feminist futures.

Flora took part in the opening presentation, highlighting key perspectives from feminist movements in the Global South and contributing to the framing of the panel discussions. The gathering created space for critical dialogue around data justice, platform labour, digital sovereignty, and alternative economic models grounded in feminist values.
