More than a book: a tool for collective action.
As part of DAWN’s 40th anniversary celebrations, we released Pandemic Policies & Resistance: Southern Feminist Critiques in Times of Covid-19, a book documenting state responses to the pandemic across twelve countries in the Global South.
Now, we’re proud to share a brand-new resource: the Southern Feminist Toolkit for Activism. Designed for allies, organisations, and movements, this kit offers ways to use the book as a springboard for research, education, advocacy, and community organising.
What’s inside this toolkit?
- Why this book matters now – framing the pandemic as a global turning point.
- How to use the book in your activism – analytical frameworks for advocacy and organising.
- Thematic Guide – find relevant chapters by issue area (care, migration, macroeconomics, digital access, intersectionality).
- Dialogue with authors – insights & full event recording.
This toolkit was created to democratise knowledge and strengthen South–South feminist solidarity. Whether you’re an activist, student, policymaker, or community organiser: this is for you.
We invite you to tag @DAWNfeminist and use #PandemicPoliciesAndResistance in your posts so we can amplify and connect across movements. Need editable formats or assistance with graphics? Email us at info@dawnfeminist.org.
